CDS offers a bilingual deaf education program, which provides instruction in both Vietnamese sign language and spoken/written Vietnamese.

Why do we call it the Stars Program?
Maybe you’ve heard before from a neighbor, family member, or friend that Deaf children can’t learn.
Maybe you’ve heard people refer to them using negative words or hurtful names.
Here at CDS, we know that Deaf children CAN learn. They just learn in different ways than hearing children, because they live in a visual world.
Given access to sign language, however, their capabilities are endless. At CDS, we know that our students are shining stars.
When given the opportunity to learn in an environment that addresses their unique needs, their futures are bright!
Little Stars
The Little Stars Program at CDS follows primary school curriculum. Our current students range in age from 6 years to 9 years old. However, we will accept younger students on a case-by-case basis.
The Little Stars Program is geared toward helping Deaf children develop their language skills in order to reach their greatest potential!
Rising Stars
The Rising Stars Program at CDS was designed specifically for older school-age Deaf children who have not attended school previously.
Children in the Rising Stars Program come from a variety of situations which have prevented them from attending school at an earlier age. Because of this, special care is given to providing a language-rich environment, which helps bridge the language learning gaps they have experienced.
